“ONE LESS” Campaign in Metro Campus
Advocates for Youth and Club K Youth Organization in partnership with MTV Philippines recently launched “ONE LESS!” Campaign against Cervical Cancer and HPV (Human Papillomavirus) in Assumption College, Makati City.
The MTV Campus Crashers Event became the launch pad for A4Y’s school-based campaign trail which will later be adapted in other schools in the Metro. Sandra Hernandez, ACAA President introduced Rose Mariano, CLUBK Spokesperson as she gave her 5 minute talk on prevention of HPV and cervical cancer including the risks involved in acquiring the disease.
The event showcased dance numbers from four varsity teams followed by live performance from Barbie Almabis and her band.
Hundreds of Assumption students registered as members of CLUB K and raffle prizes were given to lucky winners. Joanna Micah Aguilar, 2nd year HS, won an Apple Ipod Shuffle while others won gift certificates from Starbucks Coffee and National Bookstore.
The MTV Campus Crashers will also be shown in MTV Philippines during the later part of October featuring One Less campaign’s informercial.
