2007 The Year of the Pig: What It Means and How This Will Affect Us

Gone is the Andiron (Fire Dog)and here comes, dashing like mad, the blazing hog! I'm sure we all felt this, especially at our dinner tablesduring Christmas and New Year, with its crispy brown skin, and theplump meat that simply completes our meals and makes our scales spin! Yes, the hog has really made its presence felt at our parties even before the New Year's celebration! But kidding aside, what else does the lechon, er. the Pig have in store for us all? Well, I am not your usual Chinese geomancy expert; however, I can foresee our future the Club K way!

Health and Wellbeing

The year 2007 poses a very promising year for you to stick to the health goals you took for granted last year! Just because it’s the year of the hog doesn’t mean that you’ll allow yourself to turn into a hog; instead you have to burn, baby,burn those calories away and turn from pig to chic! Looking well is not just important to make yourself feel good, but it also has underpinnings on your wellness. Studies show that people who are able to control their food intake as well as force themselves to commit to some rigorous workout at least twice a week is more likely to live longer and avoid diseases. Another good thing that a balanced diet, enough sleep and good exercise also enables those with congenital diseases to outgrow them.

Thus, do not wait for next year; make a vow to slim down and be healthy for only you can do this. 2007 presents a year of so many wonderful opportunities; thus we must waste no time in achieving and sticking to these goals! The ones who will have perfect health this year will be those born in the year of the Horse, Snake, Dragon and Ox, while those born in the year of the Tiger, Pig, Rat and Dog must always keep in mind that their health must always be top priority!  

Love and Intimacy 

The fire factor in the pig means blossoming love and/or new love. For those who have been loveless in the past years, this year entails a more promising life with someone special. Mostly, this year means reliving the love lost. 2007 does not promise us that we will be able to meet someone new in the New Year; instead, we might be able to continue an unfinished love story with someone. Also, the pig, being a very bountiful animal can offer love that may flourish and last long, and perhaps end in marriage. But be careful in embarking in your love affairs for the fire in this pig might be too passionate and way beyond your control. Now is the time to double your caution for the love might burn you and you might wake up one day that you have been burned so hard that it is hard to recover. So, take things slow and careful, enjoying every minute of it. Think twice or thrice before getting into bed with someone. The ones who are rather lucky in this aspect this year would be those born in the year of the Tiger and the Monkey, while those born in the year of the Rooster and the Snake will have to make extra effort! 

Career and Calling

All the signs seem to be able to do well in this aspect this year! Careers here inside the country will flourish, preventing further Diaspora of top caliber teachers, nurses and other skilled workers to other countries. Higher studies will also be top of mind of most young people this year, for everyone aims for competence and further enhancement of their skills. Therefore, such poses a challenge to us to be able to invest some of our time and capabilities in other things that matter, especially in aiding young children and promoting better lives for those of the grassroots levels.

Family Life

Family life may seem most troublesome to those born in the year of the Pig if they do not make an effort to resolve some impending matters fast. Same is with those born in the year of the grass snake. However, everything looks bright and sunny this year for the rest of the animal signs because of the good factors in health and career. Just try to make an extra effort in closing the gap between members of your family and relatives. 

Society and Leisure

This year poses to be the start of something great for the ambitious and outgoing individuals especially those born in the year of the Rat, Horse, Snake, Ox and Tiger! This year will open doors for you, just make sure that you keep the momentum going, if not become better than you were the day before! Invest a lot in your looks and attitude as a whole for that would be the prime ticket in achieving your goals! Everything would be such a piece of cake for people would most likely be laid-back and open this year. Strike at every opportunity while the iron is hot, try to make ties with many prominent people as much as possible, for these are worthy investments at the later part of the year as well as the coming years!
